| Santa and Mrs. Claus were visiting the Portland, Oregon area a short time ago and decided to stop for Lunch at a very cute little German themed restaurant. We were sitting in a booth and there was a Family sitting at a table very near us. Santa had noticed that during the meal, a young boy (4-6 years old) had been sneaking glances Santa's direction and of course Santa returned an Occasional Smile and a Wink! When the Family got up to leave, the young boy looked up at his father and said "Look Dad, there's a Santa Man!" Santa looked at Mrs. Claus and both broke out into BIG Smiles! Ho, Ho, Ho!! |
| Santa and Mrs. Claus were very honored to be chosen by the Make-a-Wish Foundation to make a young childs wish come true. Make-a-Wish flew a 5 year old (much wiser than 5!!) girl and her parents to Colorado at the end of November 2007. Her wish in part was to see the snow and to meet & visit with Mrs Claus (not Santa - I was a little hurt!). However, all concerned decided that Santa was kind of attached to Mrs Claus, so I was invited! We went up to Breckenridge from Aurora to surprise her and for a short visit. We arrived and she of course was very surprised, and we opened gifts from Mrs & Santa, answered questions, talked & played games. And we did finally find out why she wanted to meet Mrs Claus - She had said that Santa is everywhere - in the malls, stores, promotions, commercials, etc., but no one ever sees or meets Mrs Claus! Smart little cookie, huh?! |
